Boating, sailing, fishing, skiing, picnicking or just sight-seeing are all typical pleasures to be experienced here. (Over 7 Million visitors annually) In
addition to the many day-use, launching ramps and camping areas cared for by the Corps of Engineers. There are also commercial attractions, namely, Lake Lanier Islands, packed full of convention facilities, championship
golf, as well as family activities. There are, at last count, 2 major resort hotels, 10 floating marinas and 7 sailing clubs. Lanier's hospitalities hosted the rowing and sprint canoe/kayak competition in the 1996
